Multicultural
In a class entitled, "Curriculum Adaptation," taken in the spring semester of 2012 I was given an assignment to interview two students from my student teaching placement and compare their cultural backgrounds. I was asked to compare and contrast how their backgrounds effect their lives outside of academics. I interviewed a fourth grade boy from the Dominican Republic and a fourth grade girl whose parents were from the Dominican Republic but she was born in the United States. Both students come from Hispanic bilingual households. Both students were fluent in English and Spanish. In this section you will find a transcript of the interview and my reflection on the information I collected.
